Bigsby

This 1952 Bigsby is in the process of restoration. It was ordered new by Carl Smith's steel player, Johnny Sibert and sold to Webb Pierce on the Grand Ole Opry for his steel player, Sonny Burnett. Several years later, the guitar was purchased by Lloyd Green and this is the guitar that started Lloyd's illustrious career in the studios of Nashville, Tennessee. Lloyd's first album, "Big Steel" along with Roy Drusky's "Mr. Peters" and Lynn Anderson's "Ride, Ride, Ride" were recorded on it. This is the first known guitar to have ever had a split pedal setup on the E9th neck. This great Bigsby was on almost all of the number one hits of the fifties and can be seen today on all the Gannaway film clips of the Opry. This may be the most desirable steel guitar for collectors in the world today. I know of no guitar that can match it's history. Offers starting at $40,000. will be accepted. This guitar has much more history than I can even state here.
